This risk disclaimer applies to all services provided by Predite. By using our platform, you acknowledge and accept the risks described below.
1. Not Financial Advice
Predite provides market intelligence tools, data analysis, and AI-generated probability estimates for prediction markets. Nothing on our platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any other form of professional advice. All signals, edge calculations, probability estimates, and bot configurations are informational tools — not recommendations to buy, sell, or hold any position.
2. Prediction Market Risks
Loss of capital: Prediction markets involve the risk of total loss of your invested capital. You can lose 100% of any position. Past performance of signals, bots, or paper trading results does not guarantee future results.
Market risk: Prediction market prices are volatile and can move rapidly based on news events, market sentiment, and manipulation. Prices may not reflect true probabilities.
Liquidity risk: Some markets may have insufficient liquidity to enter or exit positions at desired prices. Slippage can significantly impact returns.
Resolution risk: Markets may resolve differently than expected. Resolution criteria may be ambiguous or disputed. Platform operators have final authority on market resolution.
Counterparty risk: Prediction market platforms may face insolvency, regulatory action, hacking, or operational failures. Predite is not responsible for platform-level risks.
3. AI Signal Accuracy
Our AI probability estimates are generated using machine learning models that analyze historical data, news, sentiment, and market patterns. These estimates have inherent limitations:
AI models can produce incorrect estimates due to data quality issues, novel event types, or market regime changes. Our stated win rates are based on historical back-testing and may not reflect future performance. AI confidence levels do not guarantee accuracy — a 90% confidence signal can still be wrong. Edge calculations are based on the difference between AI estimates and market prices, both of which are uncertain.
4. Bot and Automation Risks
Automated trading systems (bots) carry additional risks including but not limited to: software bugs that may cause unintended trades, API failures that may prevent order execution or cancellation, strategy logic errors that may result in losses, rapid position accumulation during volatile periods, and system downtime that may leave positions unmanaged.
You are solely responsible for all trades executed by your bots. We strongly recommend starting with paper trading before using real capital.
4a. Live Trading Specific Risks
If you opt-in to Live Trading (Bot plan feature), the following additional risks apply:
Private key custody: To execute orders on your behalf, Predite stores your trading wallet's private key in encrypted form. Although we use industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption with strict access controls, no security system is invulnerable. A breach could result in loss of funds in your connected wallet. Use a dedicated wallet funded only with capital you can afford to lose.
Software bugs causing real losses: Unlike paper trading, where bugs are inconsequential, bugs in Live Trading mode can result in real financial losses. We do our best to test thoroughly, but defects are possible. By enabling Live Trading you accept this risk.
Gas / transaction costs: On-chain operations (initial allowance setup, order settlement) require Polygon network gas paid in POL. You must maintain sufficient POL in your wallet, except where a gasless integration is explicitly enabled by Predite.
Rapid execution during volatility: Bots can execute many trades quickly. During volatile market conditions, this may amplify losses faster than you can react.
Loss limits are not guarantees: Per-trade and daily-loss limits help reduce risk but do not eliminate it. They are best-effort and may fail to trigger due to bugs, latency, or market conditions.
No clawback: Once an order is matched on Polymarket, it is final and on-chain. We cannot reverse, cancel, or refund executed trades.
Beta status: Live Trading is in beta. We may modify, restrict, or remove the feature at any time. Bug rates are expected to be higher than in stable features.
5. Regulatory Risks
Prediction markets are subject to varying and evolving regulations across jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to ensure that participation in prediction markets is legal in your jurisdiction. Regulatory changes may impact your ability to use prediction market platforms or access your funds.
6. Platform Risks
Predite integrates with third-party prediction market platforms. We have no control over these platforms and are not responsible for their uptime, security, or resolution of disputes. API connections may be interrupted, delayed, or unavailable. Data from third-party platforms may contain errors or be delayed.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Predite and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our platform, including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, data loss, or service interruptions.
8. Your Responsibilities
You should never invest more than you can afford to lose. You should perform your own research before taking any position. You should understand the specific rules and risks of each prediction market platform you use. You should start with paper trading to test strategies before using real capital. You should consult with a qualified financial advisor if you have questions about the suitability of prediction market trading for your circumstances.
9. Not Gambling
Predite is a data analytics and intelligence platform. We do NOT operate prediction markets, accept wagers, hold funds, or facilitate gambling of any kind. Our platform provides analytical tools that process publicly available market data. Users interact with third-party prediction market platforms (such as Polymarket and Kalshi) at their own discretion and under those platforms' terms of service. Predite does not endorse, promote, or encourage gambling.
10. Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Predite. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
11. Acknowledgment
By using Predite, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this risk disclaimer in its entirety. You agree that Predite provides tools and information — not advice — and that all trading decisions are made at your own risk and discretion.
