In-App Help: Guide, Tours and Search
The Guide page, guided tours and ⌘K search — and where the docs go deeper.
Predite ships two layers of help that live inside the app, next to the thing you are trying to use. This page explains what they are, when each one is the right tool, and what they deliberately do not cover — so you know when to come back to these docs instead.
The In-App Guide
Dashboard → Guide is a single-page reference covering every feature reachable from the sidebar, grouped the same way the sidebar is: core surfaces first, then analysis, then system. It has 27 sections and a table of contents that scroll-jumps between them.
Use it when you are already working and need a one-paragraph reminder — what a column means, which plan unlocks something, where a button lives. It is deliberately shallow: one screen per feature, no step-by-step walkthroughs.
Use these docs instead when you need depth: the exact caps and error codes, how a calculation is derived, what happens on failure, or a full setup procedure. Anything in this documentation is the authoritative version — the in-app guide is the fast lookup.
Guided Tours
Eleven pages carry a guided tour: a short sequence of tooltips anchored to the real controls on that page. Tours exist for the EV Scanner, Bot Builder, Whale Tracker, Heatmap, Paper Trading, Alerts, Copy Trading, the Tools Hub, AI Chat, the Trade Journal and the Strategy Marketplace.
A tour starts automatically the first time you open one of those pages and can be dismissed with Skip tour. Because each step points at a live element, a tour is the fastest way to learn *where* something is — it is not a substitute for reading how the feature behaves.
Search (⌘K)
The search box in the top bar — or ⌘K / Ctrl+K from anywhere in the dashboard — searches across pages, guides, docs and FAQ from one index. It is usually faster than navigating the sidebar, especially for settings buried two levels deep.
Single-key shortcuts are also available while no field is focused: d dashboard, s scanner, b bots, w whales, p paper trading.
What In-App Help Does Not Cover
Be aware of the boundary, so you do not mistake brevity for completeness:
- •Money-path specifics. Caps, the kill switch, the order of safety gates and what each error code means live in Risk Controls, not in the in-app guide.
- •Anything requiring a procedure. Connecting a wallet, exporting a tax report, or setting up webhooks are step-by-step flows — the guide points at them, the docs walk you through them.
- •Features still in development. The in-app guide only lists what ships today. A surface marked coming soon in the product does not get a guide section, and does not get a doc either.
