Tax Reports & Trade Export
Form 8949 / CSV exports for accountants
Predite can export a complete record of your trading activity — organized to make tax season painless, especially for Brazilian traders reporting to the Receita Federal. You will find the export on the Portfolio page, which requires a connected Polymarket wallet.
What the report covers
The export pulls together every source of realized and open activity Predite knows about:
- •Bot trades — positions opened by your automated bots
- •Copy trades — positions replicated from wallets you follow via Copy Trading
- •Manual live orders — orders you placed yourself on the CLOB
All amounts are in USD, the settlement currency of Polymarket.
Choosing what to export
The export card lets you pick:
- •The year — the current year, any of the previous four, or all of your history
- •The format — CSV (best for spreadsheets and accountants) or JSON (best for scripts)
- •A cost-basis method label — FIFO or LIFO. This tags the report with the method you are declaring; realized profit and loss is taken from the recorded result of each trade (see Cost Basis for how Predite tracks it).
What the CSV contains
The CSV is organized into clear sections:
- A monthly summary of closed trades — closed count, total volume, realized P&L, and a live-versus-paper split, per month
- Totals across the whole period
- A trade detail table — one row per trade with source, date, mode, status, direction, market, size, entry and exit price, P&L, and exit reason
- Your open positions, with unrealized P&L
- Manual live orders, listed separately because they are not folded into the realized P&L rollup
Good to know
- •The report is available on every plan; it only needs a connected wallet so there is trade history to export.
- •Exports are rate limited to about ten per hour.
- •Predite's report is a record-keeping aid, not tax advice. Confirm how to file with a qualified accountant.
